A guarantee of resources will be required to obtain a residence permit. Indeed, whether you are a salaried worker, self-employed or have sufficient savings, you will be asked for supporting documents – just like demonstrating the rental or purchase of sufficient real estate for the needs of the household. You will also need to present an extract from your criminal record or equivalent in order to prove that you are of good character. For European citizens, obtaining Monegasque residence is relatively quick.
